Alarms, and a timer while you spin

Set it once in the morning and forget it.

On the Clock tool, give an alarm a time and a label

In the Warnings panel, add warning points and choose chime, color, message, or spoken
On the Picker, the Timer button opens a panel you can drag anywhere

Reading the bell screen

The active period on the right, the whole day on the left.

The current period shows its countdown, times, note, and agenda
Agenda on any card lists what happens in that period; give an item minutes and it becomes a one tap timer
Passing time between classes counts down too
Just this period drops the cards and fills the screen
Whole schedule brings the day back, with a clock in both

Building a schedule

Clear the samples first. The two Apex schedules are only an example.

Open Schedule settings, tap Clear all schedules
Tap New schedule and name it
Add periods with a name, a start, and an end
Set each type: Class, Homeroom, Lunch, Planning, or Duty, which sets its icon and color
Point a period at one of your classes and the Picker switches to that roster when the bell rings
Add a note for the class name, and tag the weekdays it runs

Offsets, no passes, and previewing

Three things worth setting in Schedule settings.

If your bells ring late, set Bells run late by that many seconds
No passes puts a red band on screen for the first and last minutes of a class
Last call gives an amber countdown before passes close, five minutes by default
The bar under the countdown is color coded: red locked, green open, amber last call
Bell notice takes over the screen when a period ends, then clears itself
Both start on and switch off in Schedule settings
It starts on at 15 minutes each way and never applies to lunch or planning
Preview jumps the display to any time, so you can test it after school

Putting something on the board

The Board tab is a screen for your lesson, with the bell above it.

Paste a Slides, Docs, Sheets, Form, or YouTube link and tap Show it
Google links get converted to their embed form for you
If a deck stays blank, open it in Slides and use File, Share, Publish to web, then paste that link
YouTube will not play in a file opened from disk, so the app offers to open the video in a tab instead
Save keeps a link as a chip you can tap next lesson, and Open in a tab is the fallback
A strip along the top keeps the period, the countdown, and the clock in view

Full screen and the tools button

Any tab can take the whole screen, and the tools come to you.

Tap Full screen on any tab to drop the chrome
The round + button in the corner opens the tools
Pull up a timer, a stopwatch, a clock, or Spin a name without leaving your slides
Drag the panel anywhere; Escape or Exit full screen puts everything back

The Board shows today's plan on the left and whatever you pick from it on the right.

Panels for the period countdown, agenda, spinner, roster, timer, clock, picked list, and your slides
The spinner and the slides are the real ones, moved into the panel, not copies
Tap a name in the roster panel to mark them absent and the wheel updates
Tap Customize to switch panels on or off, set their width, and move them around
Full screen works here too, with the round + button for anything you left out
